This wouldn’t be the first time “wet and wild” was used to describe a round, but St. Louis delivered both in spades. Saturday’s Top 32 showcased some incredibly close battles, particularly from the RTR camp where both Adam and James would fail to advance. A decision from the judges which internet commentators do not seem to be seeing eye to eye on. Chelsea would make his way through the Top 32 beating Barion with ease. During the halftime break a massive rainstorm moved through staying long enough to soak the track
creating all new driving conditions for the drivers as they took to the track for the top 16. Chelsea defeated Dylan Hughes in the 16 advancing to battle Chris Forsberg in the great 8. Unfortunately, the two would make contact for which Chelsea was deemed at fault in the chase and then a spin on his lead run would end Chelsea’s event. This event marked Adam’s final round for the season with Vaughn returning for the last three rounds of the year. Chelsea dropped one spot in points and is currently 4th 40-points out of first and James 7th
77-points behind the leader.
Round 6 of the Formula Drift season will take place August 11-12 weekend
