Formula Drift has swept into Orlando, FL for Round 3 of the 2024 season. Three events, three podiums for James to start the 2024 Formula Drift season! Earning second in Round 3 Orlando James has now stood upon every step of the podium this year and extended his points lead to 44. Falling just short of the top spot he would go OMT in the finals versus fellow countryman Conor Shanahan, but unfortunately would debead a tire on his final chase run of the evening.

This year’s new seeding bracket qualifying format continues to provide fans with a great show and Ben taking on 2023 Drift Masters European Championship winner Conor Shanahan was no exception. Coming out ripping, Ben would lay down a stellar lead run against the reigning champ before a hiccup on his chase would prove enough to cost him the battle.

James’s 2nd place finish brings his podium streak to four dating back to Irwindale 2023 and makes it 9 of the last 10 rounds with a RTR driver on the podium going back to Round 2 of last year.

James and Ben will be joined on track by Vaughn this coming weekend at GRIDLIFE Midwest in South Haven, MI.
